At Vita, we are steadfast in our commitment to promote health equity in mental health. Together with Hopelab, we seek to break down the barriers that hinder individuals from accessing the care they deserve - including the LGBTQ+ community who is disproportionately impacted by suicide and mental health conditions.
Why We Invested
Vita Health is building a first-of-its-kind, clinically validated, and scalable teen suicide prevention solution. This is particularly aligned with Hopelab’s areas of focus, as 45% of LGBTQ youth seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year, and according to the Congressional Black Caucus, the rate of black youth suicide is increasing faster than any other racial or ethnic group.
